These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RunPG mobile application ("the app", "RunPG") operated by Jiahao Yu ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using RunPG, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use RunPG. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your Account

You sign in using Google or Apple. We do not handle passwords directly.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of the account linked to your sign-in provider.
You may choose a display name and username. These must not impersonate another person or contain offensive, hateful, or misleading content.
We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use RunPG for any unlawful purpose
Harass, abuse, or send offensive content to other users through social features
Falsify run data or GPS location to gain unfair XP, leaderboard rank, or challenge wins
Attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the app's infrastructure
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the app

4. The App & Content

RunPG is a fitness app that gamifies running with RPG mechanics including XP, levels, quests, and social challenges. All game content (pixel art, character sprites, quest text, UI elements) is owned by us and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice. We are not obligated to maintain any specific feature or content.

5. Fitness & Health Disclaimer

RunPG is not a medical or health application.

The app tracks running activity for entertainment and gamification purposes. It does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations.

Consult a physician before beginning any exercise programme. You run at your own risk. We are not responsible for any injuries sustained while using the app.

6. GPS & Safety

RunPG uses GPS to track your runs. GPS accuracy varies by device and environment.
Always stay aware of your surroundings while running. Do not rely on the app in a way that distracts you from traffic, terrain, or other hazards.
We are not responsible for inaccurate distance, pace, or route data.

7. Third-Party Services

RunPG integrates with optional third-party services including Strava. Your use of these services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

You can disconnect third-party services at any time from within the app.

8. Social Features & Challenges

Friend connections, reactions, and challenges are social features between users.
You are responsible for the content you share through reactions and challenge invitations.
We may remove content or restrict access to social features if they are used to harass or abuse others.
Challenge XP rewards are virtual and have no monetary value.

9. Intellectual Property

All RunPG branding, pixel art, character designs, game mechanics text, and UI design are our intellectual property. "RunPG" is our trademark. You may not use our branding or assets without written permission.

Your run data belongs to you. You may request an export or deletion at any time (see our Privacy Policy).

10. Termination

You may stop using RunPG and delete your account at any time through the app's settings or by emailing support@runpg.fit.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in behaviour that harms other users or the app's integrity.

11. Disclaimers

RunPG is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of RunPG, including but not limited to loss of data, physical injury, or loss of profits.

Our total liability for any claim related to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (if any).

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
